Ross- Strength and Conditioning Coach
Ross moved from the Ireland in late 2012. He is an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) and a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA – USA). He is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about physical & mental health initiatives and the sports performance industries. Before setting off for Australia, he worked as an Athlete Development Coach, Sport Psychologist and University Tutor for several different organisations and sports teams in Ireland and Scotland. He has worked in the environments of Golf, Soccer, AFL, Rugby Union, GAA Football, Gymnastics, GAA Hurling, Rally Driving, Handball, Swimming, Air Traffic Control, Boxing, and Tennis, as well as helping individuals and groups of all ages and backgrounds meet personal goals and help them in regards to physical lifestyle change and counselling. As well as working within Youtopia, Ross is a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Sydney Swans AFL Academy since 2014 and held a Match Day Support role with their Senior Reserves in 2015 and their Senior team through the 2016 NAB Cup. Ross is also a High-Performance Coach in Bondi Boxing Club and is currently pursuing PHD opportunities in Skill Acquisition.
Ross believes in a holistic approach to health and fitness and encourages people to first and foremost enjoy the journey. He uses an athletic approach to training and a main priority of correcting movement patterns.
