About Me

Originally from London, I joined Youtopia in December 2015 although I've been working in the health and fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Studio Cycling Instructor since 2011. In 2015 I completed my Strength and Conditioning qualification along with a Sports Massage course to help develop my understanding of the body, what it's capable of and how remedial therapies can actively assist recovery. I split my time between a full time office job in the city and Youtopia, and can sympathise with the aches and pains office workers face from their desk bound jobs therefore I spend a lot of time with my clients working on corrective exercises to reverse the ill-effects of sitting at a desk.

Fitness Journey

I've been playing a range of sports since a school age including netball and badminton but it wasn't until I started training with a Personal Trainer in 2009 that I feel in love with 'Gym Based' fitness and how it makes my body feel and develop - it was this that drove me to do my own Personal Trainer qualification. These days you are more likely to find me swinging kettle-bells or practicing my Olympic lifts than on the netball court (although I still play for my corporate team once a week.) I'm also a member of the local Crossfit community and bring the skills they teach me into Youtopia to help develop my clients and help them achieve their fitness and wellbeing goals.

What I Teach

Youtopia Spin (every Sunday 9.45-10.30) - I love the upbeat feeling a good spin class can give you and it's great to see our clients walk out of the room with a spring in their step and sweat on their brow. The added benefit - we burn between 400-600 calories in one class! Youtopia 1-2-1 Personal Training - using a range of equipment from the Youtopia Studio such as Kettlebells, Dumbbells, TRX and Barbells - I'll take you through a 45 minute workout designed personally for you to help you achieve your specific fitness goals. Whether you want to lose weight, increase your strength, recover from an old injury or simply have someone put you through your paces - I'm there to help you get there.
